The second day of XlRI Jamshedpur’s Ensemble 2015 continued the promise of setting higher standards across the various events conducted and successfully delivered on them.

Apollo, the flagship HR event, conducted its penultimate round today, which was keenly contested by participants from various institutes. The other competitions, namely Prometheus (flagship finance event), Strategikon (flagship consulting event) and Genesis (the flagship entrepreneurship event) declared their winners. Another Bad Idea from FMS (Delhi) and White Walkers from XlRI were the top two teams for Strategikon, while Zo Meals and Sold Out, both from XlRI’s Entrepreneurship Development Centre, were the winning teams in Genesis.

The Next Gen leader event saw some fierce competition from the very top B-schools like IIM-C, IIM-l, IIM – A, MDI and XlRI. Day 2 also saw the presence of NBA JAM, a touring college basketball and youth festival which had enthusiastic participation from school students across Jamshedpur as well as management students. The traveling interactive basketball festival is focused on growing and eliciting participation in basketball across India by combining exciting on-court competition with interactive games and contests, designed to engage college youth and grow the NBA’s fan base.

Model United Nations was held in XlRI for the second straight year. This was followed by two rounds of moderated caucus of 20 minutes each. A moderated caucus is a discussion on a specific sub-topic related to the theme. A moderated caucus is followed by un-moderated caucus where delegates are free to interact with one another and propose resolutions for the Council to act upon.

The last round is the passing of a resolution. The last round is the passing of a resolution. The two councils being held in session were the WTO Ministerial conference (discussing agricultural subsidies around the world) and FIFA Executive committee (over the controversial Qatar bid for 2022 world cup).
