While the so called titans of men's cricket team fell flat on English soil, Indian cricket fans have at least one reason to rejoice. The Women's cricket team defeated England in the first test match on the foreign soil. Jharkhand's Hazaribagh based cricketer Subhlakshmi Sharma, who performed well in the Indian squad, feels that a little encouragement from the national media is a must for boosting the performance of the women's team.
In an exclusive conversation with The Pioneer on Monday, the 24-year-old girl, who dislocated her shoulder during the last match, said this was her best experience ever as a sportsperson. "This was my best experience till date. We were almost sure to win the game as we won the toss. Credit goes to my team captain Mithali Raj and my team mates Jhulan Goswami, Niranjana, Smriti and Shikha.
