An election of Bar Association was held in lohardaga in which Ajay Kumar Mittal defeated his nearest competitor Sanjay Suman by 23 votes.
The result was announced combinedly by Shyam Sunder Ojha supervisor of Jharkhand Bar Associatio and lawyer of Ranchi, Vimal Kishor Narayan Tiwary District Election Officer and Tarun Deogharia asst Election Officer. Ajay Mittal got 42, Sanjay Kumar 19 and Raj lalit got 12 votes. However, two votes were cancelled. For the post of joint secretary Pramod Prasad defeated Surila Devi by 11 votes with hat trick. Pramod Prasad got 43 and Surila Devi got 32 votes.
Out of 85 lawyers only 75 cast their votes. Notably, after a long time Manoj Prasad has been elected for the president post without any protest. Apart from this, vice president Chandra Prakash Pathak, Treasury head Jay Parakash Narayan Sinha, working members Mithilesh Kumar, Suman Bhagat and Tousif Meraz were also elected with no protest or debates against their respective nominations.
