Continuing his protest even from inside the jail, BJP senior leader Yashwant Sinha said on Thursday that efforts were being made to divert people’s attention from the real issue of his agitation by some people with vested interests.
Rubbishing the claim by some women who are protesting in front of Hazaribagh collectorate office, Yashwant “Efforts are going on to divert people’s attention from my agitation. In my opinion, people having some vested interests are behind the scene and Opposition parties are giving air to it because people’s support to me and my party has create panic among them.”
“Do you think we are beggarsIJ We don’t have moneyIJ We don’t have the right to raise our voiceIJ” these were the counter questions to some mediamen when they tried to know that from where the protesting women have arranged money for the posters, banners and loudspeaker sets fitted at their dharna sthal,” said Yashwant to media persons who met him during the meeting time at JP central jail Hazaribagh.
Rejecting the reports published in some newspapers that they are getting 5 or 7 star facility inside the jail as unfounded, he urged the media to first crosscheck the matter and messages coming to them before publishing.
Saying not a single family member of those women who had claimed that BJP workers have brought them to dharna with a promise to pay Rs500 is here inside the jail, Yashwant said, “It is an attempt to malign me and my party’s image but the Opposition is not going to succeed in it.”
Yashwant reiterated his stand that he won’t come out of the jail by giving personal bail bond. “The agitation which is going on for public cause will go on and if the Government will not hear them then soon we will step ahead for the next phase of agitation which will be more vigorous,” he added.
