Energy Efficiency Services limited (EESl), a public sector entity under the administration of Ministry of Power has signed a memorandum of understanding with Coal India limited (CIl) for implementation of energy efficiency projects in CIl and its subsidiaries.
According to the MoU, which was signed on February 8, 2016, Energy Efficiency Services limited will carry out the energy efficiency projects in all CIl establishments including office buildings and Mines. Coal India is a holding company with seven wholly owned coal producing subsidiary companies and one mine planning and consultancy company.
It encompasses the whole gamut of identification of coal reserves, detailed exploration followed by design and implementation and optimising operations for coal extraction in its mines.
EESl through its programmes is paving the roadmap for making energy efficiency more accessible, affordable and safer for cities and dwellings.
