Stressing on importance of education, which is quite low among tribals, JMM supremo and former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shibu Soren said that the facility must be provided to all irrespective of children's gender. He also urge from the rural masses on the move for the holistic development of the State.
"Education is indispensable part of life and essential for everyone. It helps people to earn respect and recognition. Importance of education is undeniable for every single person," said Soren on Sunday in a party programme. Admitting Jharkhand's backwardness in education where literacy rate is very low especially among the women, he said that after 14 year of the inception of the State dream of holistic growth was still unfulfilled.
"After fighting over three and half decades for a separate state Jharkhand was craved out and there was delight that the economically backward region, with a high tribal population, would finally see prosperity. But the state is looking back at a trail of broken promises. Beside other things education is most important thing for inclusive growth. It’s very essential that each and every on should be educated in a bid to protect and save our mineral rich state," he said.
Soren advised the villagers to send their children to school without differentiating that the child is boy or girl. For the inclusive growth Soren stressed on the need of study to all, people gain knowledge and enlarges their view of the world only with the advent of education.
“Apparently, people may become more useful and civilized if better educated. In areas where residents are not able to receive an appropriate education, life cannot be as thriving and prosperous as locations where there is a high standard for education”, he added.
Soren was addressing to the mass at Chandankiyari organised on the death anniversary of JMM leader late Baneshwar Mahato. A cricket tournament (Baneshwar Mahato Memorial Cricket Tournament) was also organised on the occasion. Soren awarded to the winner and runner teams.
