As part of its crackdown on Nirav Modi’s business empire across the country, the Enforcement Directorate on Saturday raided four business establishments in three cities of Jharkhand. Four teams of ED raided at one location each in Ranchi and Bokaro and two locations in coal town Dhanbad.
Sources said that a team of ED sleuths raided at Nakshtra Jewellery in the capital city but it was found that the business house was no longer a franchisee of Gitanjali Gems. Raids were also conducted at establishments run by Nisha Agrawal in Bokaro and two other shops at Bank More and lubi Circular Road in Dhanbad.
According to inputs, the raids started at 10 AM in all locations and in three locations the franchisee of Gitanjali Gems had ended. However, the sleuths have found some documents at Bank More Dhanbad franchisee run by Hari Shankar Agarwal, said sources.
The search teams have recovered documents, computer hard drives and other stuff during the raids, added sources.
