The Doctors' Wives Association organised a condolence meeting for the great legend Prof. Dr Shobha Chakraborty, who left for her heavenly abode on 4th June 2025.lt is indeed a great loss not only to the medical fraternity but the society as a whole. She was a pious and kind soul who has left a mark on the generations to come in the medical field. She was also the Patron of DWA.
Chairperson Vinita Sharan, Founder cum Co-Chairperson Jhooma Sarkar, President Arti Singh, Secretary Anju Kumari Singh, along with a large number of members assembled at IMA Hall at 4 pm today to pay homage to the departed soul. A prayer service was conducted by the members -- also attended by her daughter Dr Nibedita Chakraborty.
One minute’s silence was also observed to condole the shocking and tragic death of 242 passengers in the Air lndia plane crash yesterday at Ahmedabad.
