The Doctors Wives Association celebrated 'Shrodutsav' on Friday to welcome Ma Durga with grandeur. The entire IMA Hall was beautifully decorated with Kash and Harsingar flowers, Kalash , mango leaves etc to set a perfect atmosphere for Durga Puja. The members clad in red colour saris added to the theme.
Chairperson of DWA Vinita Sharan and Co-Chairperson Jhooma Sarkar extended their warm wishes to all members. The programme began with the traditional Durga Stuti by Rinku Banerjee. The President of DWA Bindu Prasad delivered the welcome address.Enthralling dance performances were presented by Urvisha, Sweta Ranjan, Debosmita , Shweta Survi and Trisha Shyam. A quiz on Ma Durga was conducted by Rashmi Bakshi. The team of Dandia enthused all members to join the group and mesmerise one and all. Arti and Teeka was done in a traditional manner for the members who have their birthdays and anniversary in this month. Instead of cakes a large size fish and butterfly made out of kalakand were served.
The spread of Bengali cuisines was another attraction on this auspicious occasion.
The Secretary Dr Soni Sinha briefed the members regarding their next charity work and thanked the members for their enthusiastic participation.
