Member Technical,DVC, Kolkata head quarter M Raghuram alongwith Chaitanay Prakash TPA and Utam Kumar ,Dy CE visited Bokaro Thermal Power Station (BTPS) here on Saturday.
The visiting dignitary was welcomed by Supriyo Gupta, Chief Engineer & PH, Chief Engineer A P Singh of BTPS, and other senior officers of Bokaro Thermal at inside the project.
Member Technical accompanied by project head and CE visited various components of the Power Station included FGD plant, Control room,Ash pond,of power house.
At Power House, the Member Technical was apprised about the operation and maintenance activities being taken up at Bokaro Thermal Power Station, highlighting the modernization of power house, renovation of project colony, roads, guest houses and CSR activities.
Member Technical also apprised CE & PH regarding the significant achievements of the Power Station during the year 2020-21. With the installation of new modified runners under renovation and modernization programme, highest ever daily as well as monthly generation and enhanced annual generation against the MOU target for the year 2020-21 could be achieved.
While BTPS Chief Engineer A P Singh said that the Bokaro Thermal Power Plant- A also achieved Annual Plant Availability Factor of 94.50 % per cent against the target. Further, under the R&M Programme, installation of new digital governors, and excitation system has also been carried out successfully to improve the operation and control of the Power Station.
During his visit, Member Technical inaugurated the Technical Liberary recently built at Technical building A plant of the Power Station and also took the plantation.
In his address to the executives of Power Station, Director Technical expressed happiness and satisfaction over the running, maintenance and modernization activities, taken up at Bokaro Thermal Power Station for enhancing the performance which resulted in record generation. He hoped that Bokaro Team will continue to perform with the same zeal and passion for making BTPS ‘Pride of DVC’.
