DVC Bokaro Thermal Power Plant observed National Unity Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel here on Tuesday .On the occasion, DVC chief Engineer and project head Kamlesh Kumar flagged off the run for unity event at Sports stadium where employees, school teachers, students and CISF, Bokaro Thermal unit personnel participated carrying banners celebrating Sardar Patel.
The participants of Kendriy Vidyalaya ,St Paul Modern school ,DVC ME and +2 high school took a walk from Patel park to Foot ball ground ,said DVC official Ramesh Kumar.
As part of the observance of National unity day, a pledge taking ceremony was held at PPM building of the power plant. During the function, Kamlesh Kumar CE & PH administrated the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledged to the engineers, staffs of the BTPS and CISF personnel.
later in the afternoon, CISF personnel and DVC employees including its assistant commandant Ramesh Kumar, Deputy director of DVC Ravindra Kumar and others conducted a march past from plant gate to Railway gate, lal chock and railway station to show solidarity for the great patriot of the country Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel .
