BSL is completely focused on its township maintenance and developments and with a fresh team in alignment with ED (P&A) the work of repair in the entire township is under way. Also, recently for awareness and to enhance ownership a notice was published by BSL as general guidelines for the public to adhere to in order to avoid drainage related problems and others.
Thus, pertaining to the same post review of the drainage system concern of the township under the Civil department led by CGM Township it was decided to revive the drainage system on all priority. Bokaro’s commercial hub City centre situated in Sector-4 is the central market of Bokaro steel city but with time Drainage system became a major concern.
The entire existing infrastructure such as rain water drainage system, sanitary system and road network are very old and due to the unauthorized construction on road side rain water as well as wear and tear of the drain structure causing problems, it was utmost necessary to revive the same for continuous drainage of water and to avoid water logging, officials said.
Reconstruction of the drainage system started first in the City centre under the first phase as a major course of action. Later repair work on war footing basis was done around HDFC bank to Bank of India, behind kozy sweets, yuvraj hotel and in front of PNB bank to sweet valley etc.
There is also a plan of cleaning of drains between SBI and Bank of India including parking areas of the city centre along with other parts of the township in the next phase.
Further sharing information COC MK Dhan said that township maintenance is under complete monitoring and actions were initiated way back in repairing the drainage system.
