Delhi Public School, Ranchi, celebrated its Annual Day with a display of immense talent in order to glorify the 33 years of academic excellence and existence of this institution which is setting standards across the globe. July 28 was a much-awaited day when the students, staff and parents were filled with zeal to witness the extraordinary endeavours of the students, who worked enthusiastically for this occasion. The programme took place at the Vivekananda Auditorium on the school premises.
The magnificence of the day was made stronger by the Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan, High Court of Jharkhand as the Chief Guest. The school was honoured to be guided by Justice Sujit Narayan Singh, Justice Aparesh Kumar, Justice S N Pathak, Justice Anil Kumar Choudhary, Justice Deepak Roshan, Justice Pradeep Kumar Shrivastava. The event was also graced by other revered judges of Jharkhand High Court. The principals of eminent schools of Ranchi and other dignitaries of the city were also present on the occasion.
The programme began with the rendition of welcome song which was followed by the commencement of Annual Day celebration. The guests were honoured by the respected Principal of the school, Dr Ram Singh. It was followed by lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour. Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, DPS Ranchi extended a warm welcome to the respected luminaries and hailed the event.
The cultural fiesta was marked by a series of exotic talents thus creating the festive mood. The musical fiesta by the school choir group was the first programme to set the mood of the audience. After the musical gala, the scintillating performance in conjunction of various asanas by students was greeted with thunderous applause by the audience. The highlight of the show was a Dance Drama by the students based on the life of “Yug Purush – Swami Vivekanand”. The much-awaited AKME 2022 was also released on this auspicious occasion.
Speaking on the Occasion, the Principal of Delhi Public School, Dr. Ram Singh, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the guests for taking out time from their busy schedules to be a part of the celebration. He apprised the house with school's unflinching efforts to cater to the holistic development of a child's personality. He also presented a brief report on the notable achievements of the students in academics and co-curricular events which have brought glory to the school.
Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan, was then invited on the dais to address the gathering. He was exhilarated to see the beautiful blend of the various art forms. He congratulated DPS Ranchi for being the trailblazer which has achieved many educational feats not only in the city but also on National and International Canvas. The programme culminated with the Vote of thanks.
