Students of today should not only be academically talented but also have administrative skills to succeed in life, said the Guest speaker of Human library session in DPS, Ranchi here on Monday. The Guest speaker of the session was Dr Anjani Kumar Srivastava (Dean Faculty of Science, Ranchi University). Dr Srivastava has been serving in the Education domain since the past 23 years and has been associated with different Universities for various assignments.

As per Dr Srivastava, one should choose a career as per his liking and not the suggestions given by friends. He said that if the career selection is as per liking then the chances of getting succeeded is more and a lot of job satisfaction is derived out of it.

He stressed on the aspect that success comes with increase in capability and capability increases with knowledge so it is very important to work hard for increasing the knowledge as knowledge is the base of every success achieved. Dr Srivastava was speaking to the students of class XIIth and was very innovative in encouraging the students by saying that one should not run away from difficult situations and face them as this is what makes a person perfect in solving problems.

Dr Srivastava encouraged students to set targets not by overestimating or underestimating the self capabilities and explained that one should have the habit of asking questions to himself to continuously improve the standard.

He said that another innovative way which students of today’s time should have is self thinking style.

Dr Srivastava advised that one should not totally ignore the opinion of his parents as they can be a good guide in paving the way to success and said that convincing parents about career liking is also very important as their consent is a mandate. He also said that there should always be multiple options in career planning as if there is failure in one plan then we have the other plan handy.

Principal, Dr Ram Singh, expressed his gratitude to Dr Srivastava for his encouraging words to motivate the students and said that students will surely get benefitted out of the suggestions given by Dr Srivastava.
