DPS Bokaro wore a festive look during the first assembly of the academic session 2015-16 bringing the whole school back together after a long break. The morning saw students with a new zeal and exuberance where the assembly commenced with the school prayer followed by a thought and news of the day. Class VI students then presented an enthralling dance, and the students of classes VII & VIII presented a dance drama “Jungle ke Raja”. A Hindi magazine titled ‘Abhiyan’ and Art and craft magazine ‘Finesse’ were released by Dr Hemlata S. Mohan, the Director and Principal of the school.
On this eve she proudly announced the achievement of Ankit Jha of DPS, Bokaro who has been awarded with certificate, medal and a trophy by World Record India.com and World Amazing Records on making a World Record on the first Open Source E-Book named ‘Hacking into Omegle’ which Ankit Jha has written and pothy.com has made it available as Open Source. The prize winners of NSO and IMO were acknowledged in the first assembly. The International IInd rank holder in NCO, Rishi Divya Kirti of Class VI was also acknowledged.
TTIS reader’s contest award bagged by Rashi Bharti of Class VIIIB was awarded a laptop. Three students Ayan Chakrovarty, Ankita Singh and Himangi received consolation prizes. KVPY scholarship winners and NTSE top rankers were then acknowledged in the assembly with a thunderous applause. The director and principal extended her happiness and blessings for their extraordinary feats.
