The State Government, on the proposal of MlA Manish Jaiswal, has initiated for a detailed project report (DPR) to decrease the traffic congestion on the inner roads of Hazaribagh town.
Talking to media persons in a press conference here on Monday, Jaiswal said that at country level there is 180 km roads in per square 100 km area while in Jharkhand it is only 86 km. Hazaribagh is much below the level and here there is only 53.9 km roads per 100 square km area. The pressure of traffic is increasing day by day resulting in congestion of roads.
To meet this challenge and to give the denizens some relief from the problem of jam I have proposed widening and reconstruction of two roads. Road from Kallu chowk via Merawal to Sindoor NH33 and other from Rasuliganj to Mukundganj NH33 via Banhe. These two roads will certainly help in reducing the pressure of traffic on the inner roads of the town. He hoped that soon this proposal will become a reality.
The MlA rejected the allegations that he is the main hurdle in the construction of ring road. “I am not against construction of ring road, actually the present map of ring road, which passes through municipal area will cause demolition of more than 150 houses so I have proposed to make some minor changes only.” he said. Showing the court notice issued by court on the petition of ring road raksha manch Jaiswal made it clear that his name is on 6th number which clearly means that opposition has raised this issue against him for mere political reasons.
Talking about the recently concluded monsoon session of the Assembly Manish said that the opposition parties spoiled the valuable time which can be used for the benefit of general people of the State. However the Government has passed some important bills including amendment bills of CNT act which was the demand of a greater section of society since long.
