Several persons sustained injuries when a bus, in which they were travelling turned turtle on Chatro-Dhanbad Road near Mundradih village here around 7:45 am on Sunday.
Officer in charge of Bengabad police station, Faiz Rabani, said the accident occurred due to the negligence of the bus driver, who seems to be untrained and could not control the vehicle while taking a turn.At the time of the accident, there were about 49 passages on board the bus. It was going to pick-up other persons from various places. The Officer in-Charge said the driver managed to escape and his verification was under process.He said the investigation was going on and all facts would be ascertained to know the cause behind the accident.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses at the spot confirmed that the bus driver was driving at a high speed and suddenly its steering was locked so he could not take a turn properly due to which the bus turned turtle. The injured were taken to the nearby health centre and private hospital.
