Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday warned Government employees and officials of serious consequences if they remained lethargic towards discharging their duties. He said that Jharkhand does not need people who neither work nor let others work and complicate the work. And, people who would not pay heed to the government’s commitment towards development will face the music.
Addressing officials in a motivational workshop conducted by Industry, Mining and Geological Department for its employees, Das said that the government has a strong political will and it is in majority. So, “lackluster attitude of officials will not be tolerated at any cost. Corruption and middlemen have damaged the image of the government too much. This will not continue anymore. No one can live happily if one earns money through inappropriate means. The government pays salary to its employees for work and not to lie back at their chairs,” he said.
The CM said that Jharkhand is of everyone and it can be developed with everybody’s contribution. “God has given you an opportunity to serve the State and the country with honesty. So held in the development of the State else you have to stay here only after retirement in the same system,” he added.
Das said that the tribal, poor and marginalized people are the worst affected in the State and “We have to consider the rules that can help us plant maximum industries in the State. It will decrease unemployment and migration, both.”
Underlining the importance of mines in the development of the State, the CM said that women and youths are being connected with employment through skill development. They are being given training by Jharkraft to make towels, blankets, school uniform etc. Panchayat level carpenters are being given work of making bench-desk for the local schools. Self help group women are also being connected with Jharcraft.
laying stress on positive thinking and committed work, the CM said that there is no alternative to it. “Jharkhand has everything to become the most affluent State in the country we just need to work with total commitment. We are open to good suggestions for development of the State. Anybody can suggest for the development and betterment of the state. If the suggestion is found appropriate, the government will reward the person,” Das said.
Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, Industry and Mining Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal and other senior departmental officers were present on this occasion.
