ladies, do you take alcohol, drugs or smokeIJ If yes, you might have breast cancer. That is how the Doctor Wives’ Association put city women on the alert recently and told them the ways to detect symptoms of this life-taking disease.

Several women, including members of Engineer’s Wives Association, were explained about Pap smear test.

“A Pap smear is a simple, quick, and relatively painless screening test. The sensitivity of a Pap smear denotes its ability to detect every single abnormality. While good, it is not perfect and some false negative results will occur. Thus, a few women develop cervical cancer despite having regular Pap screening,” said a doctor while explaining via a PowerPoint presentation.

The Pap smear test should be done initially between 21 years to 26 years of age. State women, child and welfare department Secretary Mridula Sinha was chief guest on this occasion.
