This tree here
and one there
pale yellow
emarald green
stands where planted
blooms serene
I think it must be
wondering
at the marvel of things
living
in its shade
on rumors...we raid
and smile again
being naive
we all feign
in its shade
bilge...balderdash we braid
and show up a
countenance
the courage of a swine
tallowed in filth
oblivious of any penance
then there joins one
makes a stance
resting against the old bark
and a glance
the tree understood
for it makes the
finest wood
the tree smiles
as the logs pile
make a coffer
where keep pearls
and emaralds green
as the tree remembers
and keeps smiling serene
a clandestine confidant
tree knows it all
of deciet and drama
sans any repentance
imprints in permanence
and wishes to be a
tree again
harsh hail is okay
so are blizzards
and incessant rain
as the tree knows
the people
and the axe
are a unison insane.
