The meeting of the District Mineral Foundation Trust Government Management Committee under the chairmanship of Hazaribag MP Jayant Sinha was held in the Collectorate Auditorium on Thursday.Presiding over the meeting, the MP said that the amount of revenue received from DMFT should be used judiciously and the common people should get better infrastructure, it is the important responsibility of all the public representatives to give priority to the implementation of schemes in the direction of long-term human resource development.
About DMFT, it was informed that in the last 5 years, the district has received 500 crores from DMFT fund.Work is going on on health, education, women and child development, Anganwadi, drinking water scheme with an amount of 275 crores.Under infrastructure, it was agreed to select the scheme on priority basis in the construction of roads, bridges, culverts in mining affected areas.
The scheme has to be selected from the available amount of remaining 231 crore.It has also been said that this year Rs 70 crore has been received as royalty under DMFT head and another Rs 80 crore is expected to come.
In the meeting, a moral consensus was reached on the proposal to modernize the District Police Control Room with modern facilities, install CCTV for surveillance of major places of the entire district and to strengthen the law and order system with DMFT.
In order to review the schools run by the Education Department, providing basic facilities in the Anganwadi Center, it was informed that so far a plan of 48 crores has been taken this year 9 to increase the quality of teaching including infrastructure in 20 high schools. Whereas, work is being done on a plan to increase infrastructure facilities in 20 middle schools at a cost of Rs 7 crore.In residential school including 10 Kasturba schools, the plan was approved by analyzing the necessary work from the point of view of security, including sports ground, gate.
MP Jayant Sinha, MLA Sadar Manish Jaiswal, MLA Mandu JP Patel, MLA Barhi Umashankar Akela, MLA Barkattha Amit Yadav, Zilla Parishad President, Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahai, DDC Prerna Dixit, MLA Barkagaon representative, MP Koderma representative Bhuneshwar Patel and heads of various panchayats were present in the meeting.
