A district level SP Ajay memorial volley ball tournament was started at the ground near Sadar thana under social policing. The match was inaugurated by DC Bhuvanesh Pratap Singh, SP Kartik S, CRPF Commandant Anand Jha and others. In these tournament 72 teams of nine police stations participated.
On the occasion DC BP Singh said, “By sports the youth would get enthusiasm. The effort made by the police is appreciable. The district would be developed with positive attitudes of fresh bloods.
SP Kartik S said, “Under leave gun and play volley ball the tournament has been organised. The youth of rural and remote areas would come to the main stream of development. The gap between the police and public would be decreased.”
Before it the school students of Teachers’ training college presented the welcome song and national anthem. On the occasion Sadar police station-in-charge Sudhir Prasad Sahu, police inspector Sanjay Kumar Singh, SDPO Ram Sarek Rai, the in-charges of all police stations, SDPO Raj Maheshwaram and many sports lovers were
present.
