The guest house of district council has been turning into cave like structure situated behind the town hall. The proposal for its repair has been hanging between handing over and taking over processes.
Before the formation of local level governance the building had its glorious recognition. The building was managed by the district administration. But after the formation of district council the building was handed over to the district council. Since the building has become the matter of apathy.
The furniture, dressing table, beds, sofa sets, ceiling fans and even the windows and door have been damaged and many items have been stolen. Condition of the building is going worst day by day.
later it was found that the wall behind the building facing lN Stadium has been broken and a tunnel like structure has been made. Perhaps the precious materials are stolen by this way.
Interestingly the building is situated just behind the town hall where many administrative officers, political leaders and public representatives would come time to time. But no one feels to improve the condition of the building.
It was told that there had been the construction of second floor started before a decade. But due to some technical fault it was stopped. After pleading several times before the admin officials the construction and the management of the building had not been started.
Till one year ago the condition of the building was somewhat satisfactory. But due to organization of several social programmes as wedding its condition has become miserable. About the matter the district council vice president Maneer Oran says that a DPR is being prepared to construct a new building.
