Under the joint chairmanship of "District Magistrate, Dr. Thiagarajan SM and Senior Superintendent of Police, Harpreet Kaur, held a meeting with all the officials through video conferencing in the Collectorate's meeting room, and many necessary instructions were given to complete Ram Navami and Ramzan festival in a peaceful, in cordial environment in their area.
In the video conferencing, the DM said that like the previous years, this year also the organigers who have applied for the license, on the basis of the same, the license has to be issued this year after investigation.
Under no circumstances will a new license be issued and at the same time, he gave strict instructions that no one should go out in procession without a license.
If anyone performs a procession without a license, an FIR will be lodged against them.
The District Magistrate directed all the Sub-Divisional Officers and the Sub-Divisional Police Officers to mark all the sensitive places in their respective areas and ensure to get them barricaded.
He directed that the meetings of the peace committee should be held compulsorily at sub-division, block and sensitive places.
He gave strict instructions to all the organizers to take out the procession only on the route prescribed by the district administration.
The District Magistrate directed to make arrangements for adequate lighting during the Ram Navami procession. Also asked to get 100% videography done.
He said that if any person creates disturbance in peace and law and order, then strict action will be taken against them.
In the video conferencing, the Senior Superintendent of Police Harpreet Kaur directed all the Sub-Divisional Police Officers and the Station House Officers to keep getting information about their respective areas through the watchmen and also flag marches should be carried out continuously at all sensitive places.
The Sub-Divisional Officer and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer should personally inspect the sensitive places. He directed all the SHOs to do CCA and bound down effectively in their area.
