Hazaribagh Mahotsav will be organised at the district headquarters from January 15 to 17. This decision was taken in a meeting of the Organising Committee (OC) of the Mahotsav chaired by DC Mukesh Kumar.
The OC has also decided to invite Indian Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on this occasion with a hope that he will certainly accept the invitation, if he will be unoccupied from other assignments on those dates.
During the three-day long Hazaribagh Mahotsav events like field sports, painting, water sports, paragliding, rock climbing etc. will be hosted everyday. During evening hours, cultural programs will be organised with perfromances by artist of national and State repute. During the OC meet, sub-committees were formed with various responsibilities making theprograms successful. It was decided that the district administration will request CM Raghuvar Das and local MP cum MoS Jayant Sinha to inaugurate Hazaribagh Mahotsav.
Dir NEP Virendra Kumar Singh will be the nodal officer of the entire event. Other members of the OC include SDO Anuj Kumar Prasad, District Program Officer, Circle officer cum lRDC of Hazaribagh, secretary and treasurer of Red Cross Society and local artists Amitabh Srivastava along with Rakesh Sinha.
The events of Hazaribagh Mahotsav will be organised in townhall auditorium of VBU and in Hazaribagh stadium. For water sports, Charwa Dam and local lake has been decided as an apt location, while Paragliding and rock climbing will be held on Hazaribagh airstrip and Cannery hill respectively.
On January 15 cultural program presentations of classical music, flute recital, Qawwali, Kathhak, Kuchipudi and Bhartanatyam will be the part of the attraction. local and State level artists are set to enthrall the audience on the second day.
