Dirt thy name is Triveni link train!

Triveni express train from Barwadeeh railway junction to Bareili via lucknow junction is known for its poor toilet facility, non-availability of water in its toilets and filth.

A four bogie link train called Triveni link starts first from Barwadeeh. The local passengers occupy seats in two sleeper coaches of this Triveni link S5 and S6 as a result passengers having reservations of berths in any of these two sleeper coaches are to sit like a dump of clothes till Chopan station which is more than a three-hour journey from Daltonganj.

At Chopan, this link train gets more bogies there for its onward journey. In this winter time cracking peanut (read chiniya badam) is a very common practice with the local passengers who relish badaam but leave behind the chaff (read chhilka) right inside the bogie! The toilets' water source runs dry sooner than one expects. Passengers are forced to carry bottled water to help ease them in the train toilets. light in the coaches are adequate and proper but its windows are old and their rubber base is gone so the glass window is not shut properly leading to cold wind sneaking in coaches profusely.

A passenger who recently travelled by this train Santosh Agrahari said 'Those who have window side berth run the risk of getting frozen in this winter night as cold wind comes in through the poorly managed glass window of the coach'. Such a long train has no pantry car facility. A passenger is to depend upon the vendors who sell food items in the most unhygienic manner. The reservation coaches' electric sockets for re charging cell phones are non functional.

Santosh Agrahari said he tried to re charge his cell phone but in vain as the socket in coach number S6 was non functional on December 11 when he was returning from lucknow to Daltonganj. Two sleeper berths number 25 and 28 had stitched foam on the berth giving it a hideous look of any operated patient said another passenger who got down at Renukut
