Willing to visit Vaishno Devi shrine for prayers? The railways has decided to resume operation of the Kolkata-Jammu Tavi express train again.
The most popular direct train to Jammu Tavi to return on tracks after a gap of over 15 months. This would help people of not only West Bengal but also of Jharkhand, Bihar,UP and Punjab too to reach Vaisho Devi shrine via this train .
The train was withdrawn from tracks on March 23 /2020 while first lockdown was announced following the outbreak of Corona.
The railways has decided to bring back this train on tracks from June 8 from Sealdah and on its return journey from June 10. Unfortunately, the operation of this train would be only on four days in a week as announced by Railways. Earlier, it used to be a daily train. The passengers now can reach Jammu Tavi Station and from there they can board a train till Katra for reaching to the Shrine.
Booking for both up and down trains has commenced.
Besides ,the Sealdah Bikaner Duronto express too would return on tracks from June 9. This would help people getting one additional train to reach New Delhi and Rajasghan for people of West Bengal, Jharkhand, UP and Bihar .
