Dilip Singh Namdhari has left the BJP. He has resigned from all posts and his membership in the party. Namdhari, confirming his resignation from the BJP, said that “With effect from today, Saturday March 29, I have resigned from the BJP. I addressed my resignation letter to the Jharkhand president of the BJP as I was the member of the State executive committee’.
His resignation did not cause any surprise as it was believed to be quite inevitable once his father Inder Singh Namdhari had gone on record saying that he (the senior Namdhari) would not be contesting lok Sabha elections this time.
However, Namdhari’s resignation would hardly matter to the party said a BJP leader. He added that the Namdhari’s wanted to run the BJP in their own ways and when it failed they decided to quit.
Dilip has contested one Assembly election only to be routed by the Congress’ KN Tripathy. However, he did not inform about his plans to join any other party saying that “I will first sit face to face with my loyalists and hear their decision.”
