DIG Kolhan Saket Kumar Singh on Monday evening started probe into sensational rape case involving a 17-year-old minor. He reached police headquarters and met with senior police officials and also the victim and took her version. New East Singhbhum SSP Anoop Birtharay was also present on the occasion.
DIG ordered expedited probe into the sensational Sahara City rape case by speaking to the 17-year-old victim, her mother and employer Nanak Chandra Seth.
"It is too early to comment but we are probing the incident and we will go through its every aspect,” said Singh.
It may be recalled that the girl's Potka-based mother had on January 19 lodged a rape FIR in Mango thana against Indrapal Singh Saini, Shiv Kumar Mahto and Santosh Mahto. They allegedly used a video clip of the assault to blackmail her.
later the victim had revealed that MGM thana OC had raped her at the police station. She had also accused the DSP of molesting her. Police have so far arrested only Saini.
