DIG Ranchi zone Praveen Kumar Singh reached police lines on Monday and took stock of the situation there in view of the complaints he had received.
Speaking to media persons at the SP office, the DIG said, “I have come to know that there are irregularities in paying of DA. Havaldar Sukhen Gope and Munshi have been taking bribes as per the complaints. Although it had not been proved. The Sergeant Major has done some mistake. They had been directed to improve the condition. All the employees of the day office should be transferred within six months. There had also been irregularity at the accounts office. The DSP level officials are directed to look into the matters.”
He also discussed the policies against Maoists, police picket place, road construction with the SP Mrityunjay Kumar. There are 25-30 most wanted maoists. The prize money has been increased to nab them.
