On February 5, BSL Director In-Charge Birendra Kumar Tiwari inaugurated a newly established substation in Sector 1/C of the BSL Township. The event was attended by Executive Director (HR) Rajshree Banerjee, Chief General Manager (Town Administration) Kundan Kumar, General Manager-In-Charge (Town Administration - Electrical) Rajul Harkarni, along with senior officials A.K Singh and employees of the Town Administration.
To balance the increasing electrical load and resolve low voltage issues, 35 new substations are being constructed across various sectors in a phased manner. Previously, 10 substations were installed under this initiative. The newly inaugurated Sector 1/C substation marks the beginning of this phase, featuring a new transformer, LT panel, upgraded cabling, and enhanced power distribution infrastructure to address voltage-related issues. Notably, the Township Electrical team utilized internal resources for this project.
This initiative highlights the Town Administration Electrical Section’s commitment to providing reliable power supply and meeting residents' needs. Under the leadership of Chief General Manager Kundan Kumar and General Manager-In-Charge Rajul Harkarni, efficient resource utilization has strengthened customer satisfaction efforts within the BSL Township.
