Amidst the on going Jan Ashirwad Yatra of Union Minister of State for education Annapurna Devi here in Dhanbad, the congress party leaders burnt effigy of Maine Minister as well as Petroleum Minister here at Randhir Verma Square soon after the Minister crossed the area where she was given a rousing welcome by the BJP leaders.
The congress activists led by district Congress President Brajendra Prasad Singh shouted anti Modi government slogans especially for hiking the prices of LPG as well as of petrol. Singh said that both directly have hit the common man and by hiking the prices the government is pickpocketing the common man.
The policies being adopted by the present government are increasing the common man’s hardships. We are protesting the hike and demand rollback,he said.
District working president Ravindar Verma said ,the BJP must apologise to the people and instead of Ashirwad yatra the Minister should have taken out ‘apology yatra’ for putting common man in inconvenience.
Hundreds of congress workers were present during the programme.
