With 9,900 successful operations Devkamal Hospital and Research Centre celebrated its fifth anniversary on Saturday. The hospital is known to be the only cleft surgery specialist hospital in Ranchi. According to CEO of the hospital Dr Anant Sinha maintaining cooperative standard is the main reason for this achievement.
While celebrating the moment on Saturday with eminent doctors across India and other representatives of the society he said, “We believe in direct communication between the doctor and patient. That is the reason our affordability is appreciated since there are no intermediaries here unlike corporate hospitals.”
The hospital presently has facilities of operation theatres, ICUs, 24 hours laboratory, dialysis, CT scan, blood bank and burn unit facilities.
“Our hospital has 105 beds, and 24 ICU care units. We are planning to extend the hospital till 150 beds,” Dr Anant added.
Special guests of the function included JPSC chairman Debashish Gupta, ENT specialist Dr Raghav Sharan, FJCCI President Bikash Kumar Singh, AJSU leader Naveen Jaiswal, Former AFMC Anatomy department head cum Dr Anant’s mentor Dr RK Zargar, IMA national vice president Dr Ajay Singh and reputed plastic surgeon Dr PS Chari.
Dr Anant assured to do the treatment of about 6600 cleft patients of Jharkhand in coming two years. “The treatment of these numbers of patients is in backlog,” he said.
The actual anniversary of the hospital was marked on October 23 wherein inter-school elocution competition was held. Winners of this competition were felicitated on this occasion.
