To be successful in corporate world one need dedication and smart work as it is about the ‘business not busyness’, said an expert while interacting with the future managers at Xavier Institute of Social Services (XISS). XISS organized a Diamond Jubilee lecture series to enlighten the budding entrepreneurs. The first lecture conducted by Saurabh Mukherjee, COO, Atria Convergence Technologies, Hyderabad, highlighted on the topic ‘The art of influencing people’ in the present era.
The technical session revolved around the different aspects which include honing leadership skills among the students of the institute, how to get maximum out of job and internships to boost your skills in the corporate world including the dynamic of power and politics in leadership.
The session gave the students a different perspective of leadership, institutional suaveness and positively influencing people. Mukherjee emphasized on a solid strategy execution quotient while aligning organizational success to adaptation and co-ordination.
Citing several real and professional life experiences, Mukherjee interacted with several management students and clarified their queries. He pointed out about the transformational leadership as an important tool to be successful as business person.
Making the session interesting for managers, Mukherjee through illustrations and cartoon images explained various pros and cons of a corporate world especially what should be avoided in the business world especially when an individual starts his/her career.
