BJP Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar has said that the there was no scarcity of jobs in the country. Speaking as chief guest in Nav Vihaan, a cultural programme by Institute of Science and Management (ISM) Pundag on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on Saturday, he said that the lack of determination among students kept them away from their dream jobs.
“Determination is the only key for any person to achieve his goals against all strides of life. This is true, especially to the students because there are thousands of examples when a student passing out from a remote village school makes way to get a high salaried job abroad, only through his determination,” said Poddar to students present there.
Presenting himself as an example, he said that he never thought of reaching up to the height of becoming a member of the highest public representative body, i.e. Parliament, some day. “I had to manage everything in extremely limited resources. But I continued my studies in Ranchi and Bengaluru, and started my business. There were many problems but only to make my way,” said Poddar.
Ranchi University Vice Chancellor (VC) RK Pandey, ISM (Pundag) Chairman RAK Verma, Vice Chairman Saket Kumar, Consultant VP Sharan, Deputy Director Mahendra Shukla and Registrar MP Barnwal among other guests were also present on the occasion. Verma suggested them make an effort of getting University status for ISM.
