The Government on Tuesday assured the Assembly that six districts depending for power supply on the DVC would be eased out in the due process. Answering to the concern expressed by Hazaribagh MlA Manish Jaiswal Parliamentary Affairs Minister Saryu Roy said that Government’s own grid would be in place in next three years. “The districts are being supplied power by the DVC because we don’t have our own transmission and distribution networks there. We are working in that direction and within three years the desired infrastructure would be in place,” Roy Said.
The member expressed concern that the Government had to purchase electricity at Rs4.50 every unit which is much costlier and thus causing great deal of loss to the Department.
