After witnessing the lowest pass percentage in Matric and Inter results (Science and Commerce stream) this year, Secretary, School Education and literacy, Aradhana Patnaik has asked all the District Education officers (DEOs) to review the performance of each school subject wise falling in their jurisdiction.

All the DEOs have been instructed to check the presence of school teachers at the government schools as well considering the pass percentage of each subject. All such teachers will face the music now whose subject pass percentage is below average.

“All the DEOs have been instructed to analyze the report of each government school and prepare a detailed report by June 30. Increment of all school teachers will be stopped whose subject performance has been degraded. Few teachers deputed at District Headquarter will also be transferred whose performance at school level is not satisfactory,” said, Secretary, School Education and literacy, Aradhana Patnaik.

Besides that all DEOs have been asked to identify such teachers with whose guidance and support, the students this year have been able to perform well in both Matric and Inter examination. The department will felicitate all teachers whose efforts have brought fruitful results. Students from Gumla, Palamu, Chatra and West Singhbhum have performed better this year while the results of Godda, latehar, Hazaribagh, Simdega and Giridih districts have slashed down.
