The School Education and literacy Department has issued a circular to all the District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Superintendent of Education (DSE) to demolish all old dilapidated buildings constructed on campus premises of Government schools and are presently not being utilised for any constructive purpose by the concerned school management.
The notification was issued by the department on February 1 and has been given to the concerned persons, including principals of various government schools. The School Education and literacy department has requested the DCs of all the 24 districts to approach the executive engineers and issue the NOC on the matter to demolish the rundown building of government schools functioning in their respective districts.
Notably, before demolishing the building the school management community must first get the approval of the DEO and DSE of the concerned district. After receiving the consent, the letter first must be forwarded to the building construction department and only after getting approval and receiving building condemnation letter, the concerned building will demolished.
