Chief Minister Ragubar Das assured the people of Valmiki Nagar that the State Government will construct apartments with 2-BHK flats to accommodate them.
He also promised a multi-storey building to be made to ensure livelihood to them, as he visited the locality in Kishorganj and listened to the problems of the people living there.
He met with Municipal Commissioner Prashant Kumar and instructed him to begin work on the flats.
He also met with a delegation of Valmiki Nagar residents and told them about the details of the flats.
Along with the 160 flats, a community hall and playground have also been planned in the area.
Till the project is complete, Valmiki Nagar residents will live in Khadgarha.
