Dead body of a woman aged about 22 years was found from a well in a vacant plot near Bangitand. The dead was identified as Babita Devi Daughter of Basudeo Mahto resident of village Jarga under Telaiya PS. Cops recovered the body and lodged a case on the basis of application of Basudeo Mahto, father of the deceased.
Police said that the seemed to a dowry death prima fecie. Wound marks were also visible on the body. According to Basudeo Mahto he married his daughter Babita with Santosh Mahto of Mahatma Gandhi Nagar in the year 2012. Recently his daughter came from Jarga to Jhumritelaiya to her husband’s home on September 11 and since then she was traceless. Police station In-charge KP Yadav said that some wound marks were visible at her body. The husband and his family members are absconding.
