Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of Hazaribag Prerna Dixit reviewed the progress of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana in every block of the district here on Tuesday. She instructed all panchayat secretaries to complete the work within the prescribed time framework.
She said that the district administration is getting regular complaints that the amount of the construction of houses is not reaching the beneficiaries in different blocks of the district.
The DDC said that middlemen are very much active in the blocks. They are getting full support from panchayat secretaries in the blocks.
She further instructed the Block Development Officers and the Circle Officers to look into the matter. The villagers will get maximum benefit of the plan.
She further said that the administration will hold a meeting after 15 days in the district headquarters, who are not performing their duty very well. The DDC said that action will be taken on such panchayat secretaries, who will not show their progress continuously.
In the meeting the director of DRDA Niyaz Ahmad, project economist Sonu Kumar Mehta, District coordinator Ali Raza Khan, district training coordinator Vijay Kumar Sahu and all coordinators of blocks were present.
