The local administration and State government were receiving complaints regarding the duties and responsibility of the doctors and staff in the Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital. The state government has decided to appoint DDC (Deputy Development Commissioner) Prerna Dixit as administrator of SBMCH. She has resumed her duty in the afternoon on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribag Nancy Sahay said that the appointment has been done by the State Medical and Family Welfare Department. She will solve the problems of the college as well as find out the reason to remove the obstacles, which come during routine work of the medical college.
She further said that according to the direction of the state government she will look after the hospital and college management and the financial discipline and the work regarding the issue of the tender.
The DDC has to work for the purchasing of the equipment and other material, which is needed for the college. She will also look after the discipline and day to day working culture of the doctors and other medical staff in the medical college and hospital.
As an administrator the DDC will also watch the services of the outsourcing company and their duties. The administrator will visit the SBMCH on a regular basis and listen to the problems of the patients and arrangements.
