I am competent enough and I know what to do and how to deal with those who do not either like or understand directives given in polite language and way. These were the words of warning given by DC Mukesh Kumar to those private schools who had yet not acted as per the directives of DC given to them during their meeting with him a week ago.
DC once again repeated that no school will be allowed to take readmission fee and donation for taking admission in the district. Those who had already taken readmission fee will have to compensate it in the monthly tuition fee. He appealed to the guardians to inform to the committee constituted by him about readmission fee, donation or any other illegal charges made by the schools.
When mediamen informed that some schools are now taking the amount of readmission in the name of development fee, then Kumar informed that the schools will have to give detailed information about the developmental work they will do with this amount. He also informed that very soon the district administration is going to start the verification and measurement of school lands and of the vehicles used by them for carrying the students to and from the school.
Talking about implementation of RTE in the district he said that attempts are going on to raise the number of BPl students in private schools and hoped that this year it will be a good number in comparison to last years. He also cleared that schools which had yet not got minority status by the government will be treated as general private schools and they too will have to take admissions of BPl students.
