DC Sunil Kumar visited Birhor colony of Katkamsandi block along with civil surgeon, Hazaribagh, and the team of health department. In local newspapers, reports had come that Birhors are badly ill and some are suffering with serious diseases.
In Birhor colony, DC met with Birhors who were ill. Civil Surgeon and other members of the health department team checked them and said that it is seasonal fever. On the instruction of DC Sunil Kumar, the medical team checked other members of the Birhor colony and gave them medicines as per their requirement. After looking the ground reality of Birhor colony DC called the block officials at the spot and instructed them to give the benefits of all those Government schemes going on for this ancient tribal community which is on the verge of extinction.
