Deputy Commissioner, Ramesh Gholap on Saturday visited various panchayats under Markachho and took stock of works running under MNREGA. The DC , ordered to seize two JCB earth moving machine at Bahadurpur village under Nawadih panchayat where he received a complaint that JCB machines were used in the Construction of dobhas. In the course of inspection of schemes, DC rode about 6 kilometers on a motorcycle.
The DC, visited Barwadih of Mahogaya Panchayat, where he received a complaint that the soil work of constructing a house was done by cutting the soil from the government land. Gholap instructed the CO to get the land measured and lodge FIR against the accused.
The DC said the administration was committed to provide job opportunities to the migrant labourers who have come amid nationwide lockdown.
He said that a probe team has been constituted under SDO, who will submit a point wise report of the work done under MGNREGA in Nawadih panchayat in the last 4 years, within two weeks.
All BDOs have been asked to select schemes as per the number of migrant labourers in their respective villages, said the DC.
He said, mobile numbers of DDC and the district control room has been made public to inform if JCB machine is found engaged in MGNREGA work, strict action will be taken against the accused, he added.
