K Ravikumar, Deputy Commissioner and district election officer suspended Vijay Kumar Gupta, Circle Inspector of Chandwara. Currently Gupta was deputed at check-post formed especially for Assembly elections at Jamukhadi as a Magistrate.
DC Kumar has also wrote to SP for disciplinary action against sub-inspector Shambhunath Singh also deputed at the check-post.
The proceedings have been initiated on the report by Prabhash Kumar Dutta Block Development Officer (BDO) Koderma cum Assistant District Election Officer (ADEO). ADEO Dutta submitted his report to DC and said the police was collecting money from truck drivers passing through the highway illegally in presence of Magistrate and the police officer. The allegation imposed on the Magistrate is found true in course of investigation. SP Sangita Kumara, also suspended the Sub-Inspector Shambhunath Singh on Monday.
