DC Mukesh Kumar on Thursday suspended the Barkagaon BDO Ashok Kumar Chopra and handed over the charge to Katkamsandi BDO Santosh Singh. He had taken this decision due to increasing number of complaints regarding settlement of government land in the block and withdrawing compensation amount from NTPC.
DC has also ordered to terminate the block employee Dheerendra Kumar as per the recommendation of enquiry committee constituted to report on his involvement in illegal acts in the work of acquiring land and distribution of compensation. DC Mukesh Kumar has ordered a probe of the activities of BDO Ashok Kumar Chopra during his posting at Barkagaon.
Taking the matter seriously DC Hazaribagh has directed the officials to install CCTV cameras in district land acquirement office. He has also decided to organise a Janta Darbar at Barkagaon to hear the complaints and problems of land owners of the block on 23rd January.
