DC Ravishankar Shukla has urged the conscious denizens of the society to come forward in making Hazaribagh ODF. In a meeting with the block officials, media and representatives of social organization held in Suchna Bhawan Auditorium on Thursday discussion on various aspects of this issue took place. DC Shukla not only tried his best to clear the doubts raised in the meeting but also gave tips to meet the problems and challenges at ground level in implementing the program of having toilets in every household.
Clearing the meaning of ODF Shukla said that it is not only connected with defecation in open but it is also connected with the concern that the human excreta should not come back to human by any means. Illustrating the program he sought help of everyone in making the people aware about the benefits of making their area ODF.
After the meeting on ODF talking with newsmen DC Shukla informed that he had himself visited the Kandtari bridge site which has collapsed some days ago. We will soon going to construct a temporary suspension bridge at that site so that villagers can cross the river easily. Regarding the Sewane bridge he said that engineers have reported that it can be repaired and temporary arrangements have been made.
On the bridge made by villagers in Barhi block he accepted that there is a need of bridge there. The district administration has already sent a proposal to the state government and for the time being what arrangements can be made, I will take decision after visiting the site after 1-2 days.
