DC Neha Arora on Monday expressed displeasure on the slow pace of construction of toilets in the district. She asked explanation from six ‘Mukhiyas’ of the district.
After holding a review meeting with the Mukhiyas, Anganbadi Sewika co-ordinator of swach Bharat Mission of four blocks Meral, Bisunpura and Bardiha alongwith PHED official the DC directed them to speed up thework. DC directed them to complete the work by March 20.
Arora said that the district administration aims to make all three blocks ODF by end of this financial year. After such date no person would be allowed for attending nature’s call in open field.
After conducting a baseline survey, district administration was selected the toilet scheme. Besides this, those who were not found in BPl list their names have been omitted while the BPl people who were left out from the selection list have been connected.
Kandi block would be also declared ODF block by end of the year. DC said in the meeting toilet scheme is very important scheme.
According to District Coordinator of Swach Bharat Mission Maha laxami the target of construction of toilets 32,945 fixed in this financial year out of which 24,400 toilets have been completed.
In Bardiha block target is fix for construction of tolets are 8,003 out of which 6,599 were completed, in Meral block 21,893construction was fixed in which 18,386 have been competed and in Bisunpura block ther target was fixed for the construction of toilets out of which 4,337 have completed.
Engineer and Junior Engineer of PHED, Female Resource Officer and others attended the meeting.
