Way seems to have paved for a degree college at latehar as DC RK Shukla has zeroed in required land for the building.
On the instructions of Secretary Higher and Technical Education Ajoy Kumar Singh, the DC has spurred his revenue officials to identify land for the model degree women's college.
On Saturday Circle Officer of latehar lallan Kumar showed a five acre non-forest land at Bishunpura to the Registrar of Nilamber Pitamber University Amar Singh who visited the place on the instructions of Vice Chancellor AN Ojha.
As per UGC guidelines five acres of land is a
requisite for setting up of a degree college.
The CO said that earlier the land was allotted FCI that did not show interest in taking possession.
The plot is adequately accessible to NH 75.
